On February 12, Teatro del Sale comes alive with music and folk dances!

Chiara Garuglieri with the association Tarante Fiorentine and the band Il Brigantino will create a highly engaging evening, bringing the passion, rhythm, and energy of the South to our Teatro del Sale.

“Le Notti delle Tarante Fiorentine” is a journey into Italian folk roots: a meeting of live music, dance, and tradition.
It’s an exploration of one of Italy’s most thrilling folk dances: the taranta, today a symbol of celebration and community, with origins in ancient healing rituals of Southern Italy, where music and movement were used to free the body and emotions. From this, one of the most powerful expressions of our popular culture was born, still capable today of uniting and captivating audiences.

As the theater is transformed with sets and props inspired by Southern Italian folk traditions, the energy and liveliness of the band Il Brigantino, together with the elegance and determination of the dancers from Tarante Fiorentine, will create a show that accompanies guests during and after dinner, with percussion, singing, and dances telling a centuries-old story.
